What you see on the stack is a unit that opens back over the stack & used when going through tunnels. During restoration it was left off as it was planed to make the telescoping extention on. The parts removed were kept. I was part of the crew then. My part of the restoration was the fabrication & inst. of all of the jacket to boiler, cylinder, air pumps, feed water on the pilot, & the boiler backhead. Also both tool boxes to the tender & the oil heater tank under the tender front platform. (thanks for this personal insight! -Web admin)

I notice she still has the extendable stack here, she went into the park without it. Curious, she is sitting on/near the same track she resides on now at (Amtrak) Redondo Jct.
