Great shot, but the location is New Canaan, CT, not Danbury. Grove Street grade crossing is in the distance just before the track curves right down toward Stamford. I don't recall seeing these cars in regular service, and they were probably replaced with the delivery of the Pullman Standard "washboard" stainless steel cars in the mid 1950's.
